QS-9000 QS-9000 is the short for "Quality System Requirements QS-9000." QS-9000 applies to all internal and external suppliers who furnish parts or materials for production or service, along with heat treating other finishing services, directly to the top three automotive producers. QS-9000 embraces the latest technology and takes a preventive approach to quality issues. QS-9000 is based on the ISO requirements, but it contains additional requirements that are particular to the automotive industry.
